Terms of Service

Last updated: 29 July 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Fraud Filter's website, dashboard, and API (together, the “Service”). By creating an account, using an API key, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

01Agreement

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and “you” refers to that organization.

02The Service

Fraud Filter analyses messages, emails, listings, job posts, URLs, and images and returns a risk assessment intended to help you identify likely scams and fraud. Detection is probabilistic and provided for informational purposes only.

Important: a result — including a low-risk or “clean” verdict — is not a guarantee and is not legal, financial, or professional advice. You are responsible for your own decisions. Never send money, credentials, or identity documents based solely on a Fraud Filter result; independently verify anything that matters.

03Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and API keys, and for all activity that occurs under them. Notify us promptly at info@fraudfilter.space if you suspect unauthorized use. You agree to provide accurate account information and to keep it up to date.

04Acceptable use

You agree not to, and not to permit anyone to:

We may throttle, suspend, or terminate access that we reasonably believe violates this section.

05Plans & billing

The Service offers a free tier, prepaid pay-as-you-go credits, and paid subscription plans as described on our pricing page. Paid subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals but does not entitle you to a refund of fees already paid, except where required by law. Prepaid credits are non-refundable and may expire as stated at purchase. We may change prices with reasonable notice; changes apply to the next billing cycle.

06API keys & limits

API keys are issued to your account and metered against your plan's quota. Each check consumes quota as described in the docs and dashboard. We may apply rate limits and fair-use limits to protect the Service, and may adjust them where necessary to maintain availability for all users.

07Your content

You retain ownership of the content you submit. You grant us a limited licence to process that content solely to provide the Service to you. We may use aggregated, de-identified signals to improve detection. How we handle your content and personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

08Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, models, and branding, is owned by Fraud Filter and protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

09Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will detect every scam, that results will be accurate or error-free, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or secure.

10Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fraud Filter will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or funds, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service — including losses resulting from fraud that the Service did not detect. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 100.

11Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Fraud Filter from any claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or of applicable law.

12Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — will survive.

13Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [your governing jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there, except where applicable law grants you rights that cannot be waived.
